The Dance of the Elves

Over 30 years ago, Andrew Linnell was asked by his then young children to tell them a story. Dance of the Elves is this story that his friend, and Waldorf educator, Elizabeth Auer, took an interest in and illustrated — with some input from her own small children.

The Dance of the Elves shows the elves’ concern during a period of no rain in the forest and tells of their search for water to save the leaves from wilting. One courageous elf, Beecher, agrees to go on a quest in search of the precious water, and so meets many wonders of the natural world.
