How Do We Know?
Epistemology: A Gateway to the Christ

by William Lindeman.

'The human soul, in fact, is not predisposed to untruth but rather to truth, it is predisposed in such a way that when some truth or other is expressed, the soul experiences it almost instinctively. A feeling for the truth is present. One should not fail to appreciate the fact that this feeling for the truth, this unprejudiced sense for truth, is of infinite value to the soul. Especially in our present age is this sense of infinite value. And this is the case, indeed, because the spiritual pinnacle from which even the most necessary truths can really be seen is so infinitely high.'
Rudolf Steiner, Berlin, 24th October 1920.
